You can find all of our policies listed on our Terms & Conditions page at the bottom of the website.
Toney's is located at 17 Laura St, Aspendale. There is plenty of street parking out the front, as well as street parking along Laura St towards Aspendale Primary School. Please be mindful of street parking restrictions by checking the signs. Toney's is walking distance (950m) from Aspendale Station if you prefer to use public transport to get around.
For our Reformer Pilates classes, you'll need a water bottle (no glass please!), sweat towel and grip socks. Bare feet are also fine however we recommend grip socks to avoid slipping.
For a sauna session, you'll need a water bottle (no glass please! Metal bottles can also get quite hot in the sauna), a towel and either activewear or bathers.
You can fill up your water bottle, purchase grip socks or hire a towel at the studio if you forget your stuff!
Please arrive 10 minutes early so that the instructor can give you a tour of the studio and demonstrate how to use the reformer or how to set up in the mat room depending on the class you have booked in for. Scan your app on the reader on the door to access the studio, pop everything except your drink bottle and towel in a locker and let the instructor know who you are. Relax in our lounge area until your class is ready to begin.
Pilates is just like any other sport or exercise...it's what you make of it! At Toney's, our instructors encourage you to listen to your body on the day and push yourself to an appropriate degree of challenge. That's why we offer Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 options in every class, so that you can tailor your workout to suit your needs in that moment. Some of our clients love to take on every single advancement and challenge, whilst others enjoy moving their body through the Level 1 base movements.
If you are managing an existing injury under the guidance of a medical professional, please ask them if you should be attending group fitness classes and follow their advice. Instructors will ask if there are any injuries they need to be aware of prior to class starting, but it is always a good idea to be proactive and let the instructor know as soon as you get to class. If you have a recent injury and have not sought medical advice, we advise that you don't attend until you have spoken to the right health professional.
You must be 16 years old to attend classes or sauna sessions.
If your friend has purchased a Toney's membership or credit, you can book beds at the same time and go together to either an OnDemand or in-studio class. If they do not have an active booking they are strictly not permitted in the studio.
Unfortunately this includes dogs, children or babies (unless you have booked in to a bub-friendly instructor-led class that is specified as such on the schedule). This policy is in place to ensure we are keeping in line with our insurance policy and providing a Pilates-focused space for other studio users.
